White Noise Lite App Reviews

All in all the app works great. Does what it says it will do. Sounds are of decent quality. My only complaint is that the fullscreen mode doesnt function properly; it does not go to a separate desktop space as fullscreen apps are supposed to do in OS X. Also, no "exit fullscreen" button appears in the menu bar, but hitting esc does the trick. Still, again, solid app, great price. Update: noticed a second, less minor flaw; this application causes Mac OS to switch to discreet graphics instead of integrated (on systems that have both, such as MacBook Pros). This will drain the battery uneccesarily fast.

This app does what it says it does, and the sounds are high quality. I found I needed to turn off 3D-sound in the preferences to be more comfortable, but that was a great feature to have. The only thing it is missing is the ability to stop/start the sounds via the media buttons on Apple keyboards.

I really was in it for the crickets! I love summer and just wanted some nice summer sounds. The cricket track they have sounds very distorted and has a lot of fuzziness. I dont want actual white noise in my white noise machine. But anyways, thats just my opinion. Try it out, its free. But youll probably delete it right away like me.

cannot get over the low quality of sound, other free apps offer better quality and more variety.

Not sure if its your program or my laptops speakers but theres variation in your white noise track. I can hear it change tone several times over the course of a minute. You can be great at all the bells and whistles but if your white noise sound in your "White Noise" app isnt consistent Id call that a fail. Maybe you should call it "Almost-white Noise."

I’m a college student that lives in dorms. This app is amazing, it really helps to block out the obnoxious noise of stupid college kids while I’m trying to sleep!

No window after app launch and no sound. Menus in place, but nothing works.

the new update made the window disappear and app is no longer functional. need new update asap.

Whenever I play the audio in the app, the noise comes through my head phones more on one side than the other. It’s not due to my computer settings because everything else works fine. Please fix if you can. Thank you.

I had been using homemade sleep videos until I discovered this superior application. Although the free version is excellent, I am upgrading to the paid version for a few additional features. The free version allows the ability to customise and mix your own sounds! I created a nice mix of brown noise, a cat purring and rain and immediately felt relaxed. If you have ever tried sleeping with white and brown noises or a fan, try this program and you will never want to go to bed without using it. Furthermore, I have tinnitus and I often get headaches and easiliy irrataed by certain high frequencies, This program is a miracle for alleviating tinnitus symptoms and sleeping 7 to 8 hours a night without waking.

The app is so profissional. and the quality of the sounds is high, it’s honestly the most realistic life sounds app ever. It has affected me positively, it makes me calm, the sound of the beach just brings back a lot of memmories to me, and the jungle and the camp fire; it’s like i’m there!! Totally loved it. Peace.

50 sounds for free? Can’t get any better than that. Also use on my iPhone.

I’ve always loved the White Noise app on my phone, but now I can have it on my work laptop too! I was even able to download my favorite sounds from the market (Bermuda Night is the best!)! I love the mix pad too—I’ve laready made some completely intoxicating blends to drown out the noise of coworkers and other distractions! Love this app! So grateful for it!
